The St. Joseph's CYO 3rd & 4th grade program's goal is to
introduce the players to a team environment with a moderate level
of competition. Each player is evaluated on the first night of
the program and teams are selected accordingly to afford the most
equal and fair level of play possible. There will be attempts
to accommodate all requested on enrollment forms, but no guarantees
will be made.
Every participant receives a reversible basketball jersey and
a trophy. For 2006/2007, the CYO Board has decided to eliminate
the payoff aspect of this program to further promote the focus
around the development of each child's skills and how to play
the game, rather than about winning a place trophy. Each participant
will receive a participatory trophy.
